Default 2011 Dyna Switchback

I have a 2011 Dyna Switchback that has no spark anyone had this happen or can point me to a fix? The engine light does come on and cycles, just no spark. Manufacturer date of bike is 07/11 so could possibly be a 2012.

Thanks!

it is a 2012... when you say cycles do you mean you can hear the fuel pump spin up to build pressure then stop and then the check engine light goes out??...

if so

then is it turning over fast enough? if it is too cold out and if it cranks too slow spark will be intermittent.. check connections at battery, starter and frame and make sure battery is fully charged seeing as how the bike is nearly 3 years old it could be a bad battery already..

if this is all good possibly a bad jiffy stand switch

Gotta be a 2012. They didn't make a 2011 Switchback. Did you check the "off/run" button on the right handlebar switch?

The bike turns over well (it is not too cold - I am in Florida). I've checked battery, all connections, on/off switch, pretty much everything and it just doesn't spark.

If the check engine light came on, it means it threw a code. Check for codes and get back to us.

Check the HT side of the coil for spark.
None there, check the primary side for 12v.
None there, check the ignition module output for 12v.
None there, check your ignition switch for 12v output.
None there, check your fuses with a meter. (prolly shoulda done this first)
All good? check all your safety switches.

Yes, it is a 2012 model year bike, but Switchback production started in 2011. Mine was manufactured 11/2011

Yes, but it's still a 2012 model. Anyway, HD gives a two year , unlimited mileage warranty on every new bike, so this should be covered under your warranty. Call your dealership.

Yes, but it's still made in 2011. Warranty is 2 years from date of purchase, not model year.

All Dynas manufactured between late 2011 to about March 2012 are subject to a moco service advisory on the voltage regulator. Mine failed last month after 40,000 kms. Mine had no spark when the reg failed.
