Thanks Racqueteer, I'll give them a try when I can get down to the dealer. I like the idea of low down torque. The Versys is tuned that way ( for a parallel twin anyways) and I'm not a rev-head.
I made the move from a 605 jap bike to a dyna a couple years ago and never looked back... I've looked at my bank statement a few times but that's about it :P
It took a few weeks to get used to the physical size but the engine..? Oh the engine!!! Loved it, I can't help but grin everytime I start it up - I'm over the moon with even a grocery run these days!
Test ride a superglide, I think it'll be the closest comparison given the bars and mid controls - I guarantee you'll leave with one!
Cheers iDodgimus, hoping to test ride something next weekend. Unfortunately this weekend my local HD dealer is closed. Its ANZAC weekend (remembrance for the WW1 Gallipoli landings).
Not a huge range of bikes in the shop, and no Low Rider demo bikes out here yet. Have sat on the one they have but its already sold !
Thanks TT, nice to hear from a fellow antipodean !! Have a good ANZAC w/end. The belt drive is another attraction, I have a Scottoiler on my Versys now, but gets a bit messy at times.
