I like a little tunes sometimes and refuse to wear ear buds on a motorcycle. I don't want two big speakers on the ends of my handlebars though. Any ideas where to mount em kinda hidden? Will paint them black too, and yes I will post a video of the sound for yall. Will be here Friday.
Are you running T-Bars, Apes, Beach Bars stock bars? An idea of you current setup would really help others help you. If you have engine guards, this is another location you could use to mount to.
I don't know how you'd do it (I'd have to see the speaker mounts up close), but it may be nice to place them near the lower-curve of your bars but mount them just far enough "out" that you can still fully rotate your bars without interference. What I have in my head is something stealthy and tucked-in close to the lower portion of the bars to keep the focus on that gorgeous bike!
Not sure how you would mount these to the bike, but I am thinking that maybe getting them main body (cup) color matched to your paint and leaving the trim ring in chrome, this might help it flow with the blike. I hope you find a way to install these and have it clean looking.
I have been thinking about adding an audio system to my ride for some time now. I run a windscreen when I ride longer distances and painted the lower half of it black using a plastic bonding paint used for painting porch furniture, I did this so I could hide stuff behind the windscreen and an audio system is what I had in mind. I want to mount speakers using the brackets on the windscreen, this would allow me to make everything detachable, but this is a project for down the road.
