Default Exhaust gasket?

What type of gasket would be recommended when installing a VH big radius 2-2 on a 2011 fatbob square or tapered?

Just leave the stock gasket in the head and put your pipes on. The OEM gaskets are good for multiple uses.

Everyone has their own opinion, and one may not be better than the other but since they aren't very expensive I would go ahead and change the gasket out when I change pipes. I would used the "crush" type gaskets.

Everyone has an opinion and mine is the square is best for performance. The taper crush can crush into the exhaust port and change the port size or create turbulance in the exhaust port. The square will never do that and sometimes will leak a little until enough carbon has been deposited to seal the gap.

Vance and Hines recommends the screamin eagle gaskets. Allows for more movement for pipe positioning. My pro pipe came with them and my straight shots I used them with no issues.

if your flanges on your pipes are square use the square gaskets, if there tapered use the tapered ones

My V & H duals had them included but I would of replaced them anyways. Also, remember to re-torque them after the first 100 miles as they will crush a bit more after you've put them thru a few heat cycles.

I initially installed the tapered ones with my V&H Big Shots and always had issues with the exhaust nuts having to be re-torqued.
Switched to the square ones and didn't have the same issues.

Regardless of style of gasket, when you change out the headers you really should replace the gaskets with new. Different manufactures use different tooling. The header inlets vary from manufacturers and will leave different impressions in gasket and the chance of getting a good seal with used gaskets is pretty slim. Plus a couple of bucks and you won't have to pull the system off again just to replace leaky gaskets on your new pipes.
