Just wondering if anybody is using these cams. A nearby mechanic said he would swap me straight up for my 583s because he is curious also. I do believe S&S came out with these cams about four months ago. With this cam swap, I plan on port and polishing the heads and throttlebody.

 

Not using them, but just know that they are pretty much a polar opposite to your 583s. Your big performance increase will switch from the left side(lower rpms) to the right side(higher rpms). If that is what you want then have at it, good thing you are doing some headwork - need to get that compression up with an intake close of 49 degrees!

Yep. Just need to change up. The set up I have now I can't give more than a half throttle in first or second gear when turning or my bike will go out from underneath me. Even when I'm driving straight I can't get full throttle because the tire will just spin and I will fishtail. Don't get me wrong, but when I did this big bore and these cams I never thought that I could do a burnout from first through second and halfway through third gear.

 

curious (and slightly off topic)... which tmax map are you using?

 

not sure. my dyno guy installed it and fine tuned it on the dyno.

 

I forgot to suggest going over to the HTT Forums and doing a search on those cams. I believe there was a good thread in the Twin Cam area and also in the Dyno area.
