I'm coming up to 30,000 miles on SG! My engine is a 88 and I'm looking for advise/suggestion on new cams!
Will I really feel a big difference in performance with new cams on that size engine? Any other input would be great!
thanks in advance
Ranger Rick
Let me give you what i found out....i have the S&S 585 gear driven in mine....i wanted to be able to go fast on highways.....my mistake...i never run the rpm's above 4-5k ...so these cams don't come alive.....because of all the crap i did to my bike, i am not about to change to another cam manufacturer and my compression rules alot of other cams out. So i will simply put either the 583 or the 551.......hopefully it will not be painful.
I also upgraded to the '95 ....
Make sure you do your homework before deciding.... Talk to the experts at your local HD that actually does the upgrades...not your normal tech.
