Default Kuryakyn extended forward controls

Hey guys
This is my first post here. Kind of a lurker for the most part. I need some assistance though on fitment of the Kuryakyn 3" extended forward controls. I have a 2012 Wide Glide which Kuryakyn says they won't fit unless you replace the exhaust with duals. My question is does someone have experience here with the extended forwards with Vance and Hines Big Shots staggered? Will they work with this exhaust? Don't want to buy them if they won't work; especially when they appear to have gone up in price.

Thanks!

I don't see why not. I'm not a fan of Kury anything though.

Thanks for the response DJY. Don't really know of any alternatives that aren't more custom and more expensive.

It's the stock exhaust that won't work with it if I'm correct because of how the pipes are routed. I'm not crazy about the weird twisty looking exhausts on the new bikes. Since your switched to a old school style duel exhaust I don't see why they won't work.

Try looking at a stock WG in a picture and take note where the stock exhaust may hamper extending the controls. Then look at your bike and see if it's clear with the big shots

Thanks JohnnyRebKY. I looked on the net for pictures and the best I can tell the Harley brake rod has a dogleg to accommodate the stock exhaust and the Kuryakyn kit's brake rod appears to be straight. Anyway, I'm going to go ahead and get the kit because I need the legroom on my Wide Glide.
