Has anyone tried to install Kuryakyn forward controls on a FatBob with the stock exhaust headers? My FatBob came with the mid-controls which I now want to convert to forwards.
I just purchased the Kuryakyn FC's. I have the stock exhaust headers and can not get the brake set-up to fit behind the front head pipe. Is there a trick or should I give up and switch to the HD factory set?
Anyone who can help, please let me hear from you as quickly as possible. I bought the Kuryakyn set from Eastern Performance and need to request a return today or tomorrow if I can not make them work.
Just talked to the tech guys at Kuryakyn. Their Dyna Forward Controls will not fit on a FatBob with the stock exhaust system. I am returning them and installing the ones from the factory.
Mike
If you really want forward controls, get some billet ones with the master cylinder on the control. Then all you have to do is route the brake line hose instead of a rod. Much simpler in my opinion.
