We bought some nice looking Kury foot pegs for the Sportster. They lasted 2K miles before one completely fell off at the crimped junction and the other was just about to. My first and last Kury experience. Bought some HD foot pegs and 10K miles later, they are still on.
The worst problem I had with Kuryakyn was with a module that made the rear turn signals work like brake lights.
It worked for a little while but then it started causing all kinds of issues with the turn signals.
I've bought 4 of their products and had 5 (one came on a bike I bought) and every one failed in a really annoying way.
I had a set of their highway pegs that even lock-tight couldn't keep from coming loose but then again I didn't try red maybe that would have worked...
Spend the scratch and get something good. Buying a Krackalackin part is dumb. I've personally found that more often than not, the H-D stuff works better than the aftermarket stuff, not always but mostly. It's more expensive, but I won't worry about it not fitting or not working or falling apart soon.
