I am a new lady rider and bought 2008 Dyna Lowrider. I am wanting to add some sound to my bike and don't know where to go with the exhaust system. I love the parts and service team at my dealership but can I trust them to recommend the best without charging me an arm and a leg???? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Do I go with slip ons or a full exhaust system? Thanks for any comments.

There are lots of options. I would start with slip-ons rather than a full system. I have D&D slip-ons and really like them. They have good sound but are not too loud. Vance and Hines makes a good looking slip-on too. The Harley slip-ons tend to be quiet. As far as trusting the dealership, I think it depends. If you are new to all this (and it sounds like you are) it is nice to have folks you can trust. I would get a quote from your dealer and then research it. This forum is a great place to do that.
Hello, I have a 2008 Street Bob. I just put a set of Vance & Hines on mine. They are not quite at all. I love the sound. I got mine off of Ebay for about 230 with shipping and all. They are brand new and come in a factory box. They are called StraightShots.
Try slip-ons first, I got pair of Sceaming Eagle II, #####-99, this are the old version, I got mine used on Ebay for $46.00 shipped. after cleaning them up, they turned out looking brand new. they come slash-out or slash down. Don't go for new SE version.

I have a three month set of Rush slipons that have less than 500 miles on them.I really got compliments on the sound and I liked it too. They are for sale, they came off an 08 Superglide when I traded for my tourer.I believe they are the same fit as your bike. The part number I have is 14201-200 for the Rush slipons if you want to check the application.I'll take 150.00 for the pair plus whatever the shipping is.You won't be dissapionted in the sound at all.
