Security install question
I know the security system is user installable...
But is it necessary to have the dealer configure it? Or marry it to the ECU?
Looking at adding Smart Security System-41000087B to my 16 SG
TIA

You might be able to install the module yourself, but you can only get the fobs coded by a Dealership.
If the module is like the older TSSM modules, there's is a procedure to follow to get the ECU to recognize it. Otherwise the bike will start and then stall immediately.
Here's a link to the install of the TSSM module learning procedure:

Was anyone able to help you. I am working on the same bike and thing. The bike just starts and stalls. I was able to enter a pin number. But can not get to the area to enter the code to override the security.(to ride to dealership to program). Dealer wants $157.00 to install the alarm and program. Republic Harley Houston.
