Default Cruise Control

On the 2016 Heritage model they came out with cruise control as a standard option. My question is in 2011 they changed the wiring harness and as far as I know, it is still the same thru 2016, so could you now have cruise control added to a 2011 thru 2015 Heritage?

It looks like the 2016 Heritage is TBW whereas the 2011 used cables. I didn't research to find out when the change to TBW took place. Very unlikely that the cruise control would work on earlier models with cables.

TBW was introduced to the softail line in 2016. My wife had a 14 Slim that she wanted cruise on. The 16 cruise module would not work with the cable throttle. Was told the ECM would not accept it. Would have to go after market
