My 2009 Harley Nightster 1200XL won't start. I just bought a new battery, it's 100% just had it checked. Went to try and start the bike this morning and it turned over 2-3 times slowly, didn't start, then made a quiet click and had no more power. No lights on or anything. Tried jumping it with my Wife's jeep and the lights came on and it tried to turn over but didn't start. Took the jumper cables off and quickly there was no more power to start up any lights or turn the engine over. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

 

Why did you buy a new battery? Was it not starting then, and you bought the battery thinking it would solve it? Still sounds like the battery is weak. New batteries can be bad. Have you recently done any work to it?

 

it should have started right up with a car battery (I hope you didn't have the jeep running) so now it is time to go through your connections...
