I spent more money that I care to admit on those H-4 LED bulbs. None that I tried used the reflector properly.

I do recommend the Sunpie LED series from Amazon.

I now run the Custom Dynamics Adaptive II and really like it.

I have used a 3 COB LED pretty identical to yours before in the stock halogen lamp setup and found it to work extremely well.. Especially for the price, they were only $13 and heat was not an issue..
AND I always drive with my High beams on.. I want to make sure they see me.. You know "Loud Pipes Saves Lives"....

I had a 55/90 bulb in my 1992 FLHTCU ... Excellent lighting until the plug melted ... It was a darker ride home with only the road lamps on ... I replaced the plug with a ceramic one

Back it outta the garage when it dark out and close the garage door. Back down driveway around 20 feet and turn on the head light. NOW ya can see how the light is projected. Re-aim light if needed.

I worked for Sylvania the first ten years of my career in industrial/commercial lighting, then for an outdoor lighting fixture manufacturer.

Some have mentioned this up thread. High lumen output is great, but the key is controlling it, and that means having that pinpoint of bright light positioned correctly in a reflector that puts the light where you want it.

I don’t ride at night anymore, but I wanted to have bright enough light to be seen during the day. I bought a Paradise set of LED lamps that fit in the stock reflector, high and low beam. I’ve also had Custom Dynamics head lights in recent past bikes with their whole $500 assembly.

I was pleased with both the day time, and night time characteristics of the Paradise LED “bulb” in the stock reflector.

They are small and family owned. Used to work the big rallys. I can’t get their page to load. Last I bought from them was two years ago. They may or may not still be in business. My fall back would probably be Eagle lights.
