Make sure you use the same watt as your current bulb. I replaced my stock bulb with a much brighter H4 bulb.

I put one of those PIAA vibration resistant $60 H4 bulbs in my ’09 Street Bob and first time out in the rain….apparently the extra heat shattered the headlight glass. Only thing I can figure unless I tightened the ring too tight and that helped it along. FYI
