Default Help! Engine stalling out!

I took a ride today and while I was on the highway, at a steady speed, my bike starting bogging out and sputtering. When I gave it more throttle, it started bogging out faster. It didn't recover or stop until I pulled my clutch and coasted for a while. I have a 1994 sportster 1200. The engine has been rebuilt. Please help, I have no idea what could be causing this and I really don't want to be rear ended due to engine failure.

It is a sportster but I'm not gonna let that stop me, pull the fuel line at the carb it should flow a cup of gas (8oz) in 10-12 seconds. Start there....

What a moron. Anyway, I'm having the same problem on my 06 Streetbob. Some lady bumped it in a parking lot and tipped it, only damaqge was a broken brake lever, and the exhaust must have took a good hit when it landed as it was scaped and loose at the head. I tightened it back up and now going down the road it acts like its got bad gas in it. I siphoned all but a half gallon, then limped up to the gas station and filled it. Seems a bit better but it's still bogging out and wanting to stall. Might still be bad gas from the bit left in? Any more ideas? Could the exhaust pipe have been tweaked just enough to cause a problem like that? I'd be grateful for any ideas you may have. Thx

Fuel pick-up dislodged, maybe if it's fuel injected. Check all the fittings around the intake manifold making sure nothing is broken there as well.

Checked all that again. I don't get it? I'm thinking run the hell out of it tomorrow, and stay close to home, then fill it up with more new gas again. I've checked everything I can and it's now above my head. I'm thinking from here on out it's likely going to take a computer to dial the problem in. Thanks for the input. At least I know I was thinking along the right lines. I'll update tomorrow after I run more gas through.
