I've got my eye on you Robby, don't think you're sneaking around upgrading power without me watching

Hey there, not sure on budget, I was just going to buy stock ones so that Scott at Hillside would do the work to his Stage III model. The ones I'm looking at are auction style, if I can get them cheap then I would do it but otherwise I would probably just wait and send him mine.

Hey Cdonis, yep sticking with the Andrews cams. When I spoke to Scott about what I was thinking he said they would be A-OK!

Have you talked to Scott? He may have some cores.

Are the A57h's not enough for you? You've posted some great info on your installs and I've just about decided on the same cams. If you had to do it over again, would you have gone a different route?

I'm somewhere between doing the cam install and saying screw it and do a 107 upgrade.

He was the one that suggested I go this route so I'm assuming he doesn't have any (but guess I should ask directly)

Thanks for the kind words. I'm totally happy with the cams and bike as it sits now. I'm just a sucker for a project I think... I truly don't need any extra power or anything and I'm just coming into prime riding season so we'll see. I really want to work on my handling and skill set but I do think the extra bump would be fun.

I don't think i would have done anything differently. The cams are great and that was truly a fantastic example of a project for someone brand new into doing their own work which at the time was part of the goal. If you find that the bike is lacking in power and that you could be far more aggressive if you just had a ton more power on tap then yeah maybe doing the cams and 107 kit at the same time would be good for you.

My plan as it sits right now are Scott's Stage III heads, throttle body porting and 107 kit but all that's dependent on a few things timing being the primary since I don't want the bike down for a month.

Robby some of the touring heads wil have a mounting surface on the front head, not that that's the end of the world just something to know. I'm interested to see what those cams to with some good head work. Are you planning on keeping the FP3? Might be testing the grip on that stock clutch!

That's the issue with living in the sun belt. It's always riding season and there is never a good time to tear the bike down.

Hey monster great to hear from you! Thanks for the note, the heads that I was looking at are now a little higher than I expected to pay so I'll just keep my eyes out for others . I do plan to keep my FP3 for now. Vance and Hines has been great to deal with and I'll continue until it doesn't work anymore I guess! I did replace the stock spring with a heavy duty one when I swapped cams so maybe that will be helpful But heck if not it will be my next project!
