Compression and Pump Gas
Can you run 87 octane fuel in 10.5-10.8 compression engines? I usually run 91 but in the back woods areas it's not always available. Just curious for future travel plans.

I run 87 in my all bore 107" motor at 10.4 static; CCP at 190. I will run 89 or 93 mid July to mid September when ambient temps are 100+ but not sure if I need to or not; just don't take the chance.

If it doesn't work...which I'd be surprised if it does..you'll know it quickly.

If it's only going to be one tankful or maybe two to get from Point A to Point B, go for it. You're not going to hurt anything that's major. The ECM has the capacity to adjust to +/- .03%.
