Default purchasing heads to get ported

Hi folks,

I'm considering getting some work done including getting my heads ported by Scott at Hillside. However, we're just coming into good riding time here and I'm frankly not keen on being without the bike for 4 weeks. He recommended looking at ebay for some heads that I would then send to him for work, then once I'm installed I could sell my old heads. I found a few that could work. Does anyone know if the heads from a 2015 fltrx would be the same as my 2014 FXDB Street Bob?

thanks!

Have you asked Scott from Hillside if he has some heads for sale?

I didn't, but he was the one that mentioned that I might want to look for stock heads on ebay or from a dealer to send to him for the work if I didn't want to wait for the back and forth...

Why not just wait till riding season is over. That's what most do....

Thanks!

I may indeed wait until riding season is over which for me would be next summer when it gets stinking hot. But even then I still ride as much as I can. The mc is also my main mode of transport although I do have an alternative

They will work as long as they aren't wet heads

Great thanks! There are some pics online of them, is there a way I can tell if they're wet heads by look?

The "wet heads" will have two "ports" on either side of the exhaust port for the coolant lines to connect; normal heads will not.

What's your budget? I've got a set ( Touring Style w/mount fixture ) and they have ACR's also. I was headed ( no pun intended ) in one direction and decided on an alternative option.
