Default Twin-Cam Engine Differences

What are the differences between the Twin-Cam engines mounted in Touring, Softail and Dyna models?
As I understand the Softail models have a B engine which has counter-balancers since the engine is mounted rigidly in the frame. But is there any significant difference between a Dyna engine and a Touring engine?
I am asking because - when looking through Harley-Davidson catalogs - the engine stage kits and upgrades that are stated to fit Touring models do not fit Dyna models...
