Default Boggin down

i have a 2001 road king with 71,000 miles. Nothing has been done to motor an now is bogging down an runs real rough . Back jug stays cool an sounds louder then front one. Had straight pipes with cut up baffles an true duals an left sounds like jake brake on truck when letting off the gas. Not sure I explained it right but any help would be great. Thanks !

First thing I would do is check around for intake and exhaust leaks, clean the air filter and top up with good high octane gas.

Well with that many miles it could be several things, cam tensioners going south, just getting tired and ready for a re-build. If your not doing the work yourself I'd take it to a good honest indie and go from there, just make sure they know what there doing before dropping it off. Is it a carbed bike or MM FI ?

The "jake Brake" works by opening the exhaust valve before combustion to increase engine braking effect. If you have this sound coming from the tailpipe I would check compression. If rear cylinder is low then it's time for a leak down test to figure out where your loosing it. JMO
