Default Engine stand

Anyone ever make their own engine stand? I was looking online and to buy one looks like the average price is about 100 clams. I have a welder and I figure I can probably make my own for under 40. Not only that most of the stands out there are made of heavy gauge sheet metal. I'm thinking 1 & 1/2'' angle iron would be more than sufficient to hold the weight of the engine. Plus a frame type stand would give more and easier access to the engine all around.
Opinions welcome as are any ideas for anyone who's ever made their own.
Thanks
Dan

Saw this in another thread; no welding required.

I bought one some months back off of that "Famous eAuction Site" from a guy (dmssmg) that makes and sells them for $34... $15 for shipping and it was still cheaper than most.

Nothing came with it. This is his Twin Cam stand. He even has a "HARLEY DAVIDSON MOTOR/ENGINE STAND, KNUCKLE,PAN,SHOVEL,EVO,ALL B.T. 36-99" that is less than $30

Yep, that's mine. Was the base for the enclosure I built to ship the lower end to Darkhorse, when I got it back I just unscrewed the side and top reinforcements. Works perfectly. Cost me $0 and only took a few minutes to build.
