Is there any reason you couldn’t use a head gasket for a twin cooled on a non cooled engine? I have two FM 107 kits in my garage. One for an 08 night train and one for an 07 deuce. Both with their extreme duty jugs. I was looking at the gaskets a few minutes ago, and they both have head gaskets for twin cooled engines. Am I alright to use these? I just noticed and it’s after hours so can’t call FM at the moment. Thanks for any information.

The head gaskets for the air cooled engines won’t work on a wet head. Found that out a couple big bore kits ago lol. Wasn’t sure if the other way would be good or not.
Update on this. I talked to fuel Moto and they advised against using the head gaskets for a wet head on an air cooled engine. Sealing surfaces are different.

What is the part number for the twin cooled cylinder? Harley's gaskets are different. They have an expansion gap. Cometic are the same except for more material at 12 and 6 o'clock on wet heads. They match the faying surface on top of all the cylinder.
If that is what I had. I'd use them. No reason to spend another $44.

Thats what I was thinking, then the guy I talked to there said not to. Both kits I have came with the head gaskets for the twin cooled. I also have a new set of standard cometic .030 gaskets on the shelf. Was thinking I’d compare the two and see how it looked. To my knowledge the jugs are the same so I would think it would be fine, but I’ve been wrong before.

Even though a highly respected shop advises against it? Hmmm.
