Unhappy HD not supplying SE cam tools in UK

Hi all. Chester HD in the UK have informed me that HD are no longer supplying the Screamin Eagle Cam tools. (94107-09A, 94078-09, 93979-10, 94144-09). I just bought the SE255 cams and all the installation stuff, but can't order the tools !! Doh !!!

Anyone else heard anything? Any other UK sources?

Thanks

Those bastards!

In any case, I've changed a lot of cams on twinkies and never owned any of those tools.

Thanks Tired - another dealer just informed me that HD may discontinue the tools in the new year! Guess I need to search for help on changing cams without them.

Thanks - JIMS tools seem to cost a lot more in the UK - but might just have to bite the bullet (I'm not too expert at workarounds......)

Or George's Garage. However, I also have installed cams without those tools.

A previously mentioned, two sources for HD specific tools are:
Georges Garage
Heartland Tools

The interesting thing I noticed is that starting in 2018, the HD Screamin' Eagle catalog stopped listing the specialty tools they previously offered.

I typically use a brass drift and 2 pieces of 4x4 blocks to support the cam plate, brass drift the cam out of the plate and same back in. The tool is not truely necessary just makes it easier if you have a press.

Hello old chap, from darn sarf. As the replies above indicate, being a Harley owner is helped by being resourceful! I'm sure you can find a useful on-line video, even a thread somewhere around HDF, with helpful tips to avoid needing those tools. You were going to be paying 'Harley tax' whether you used a dealer or brought them in yourself, so see if you can save yourself that extra cost. I would point out that the genuine FSM is essential, if you don't have one, now that IS worth buying!
