Default Another white smoke question

After runnin for a quick ride the bike starts to puff white smoke, I hit the throttle it goes away for a second but comes back. Recent engine work done includes, valve guides, new seals, heads cleaned, all gaskets changed, woods 555 cams installed with new bearings and lifters with adjustable rods. I also threw out the fuel pak for a power vision with a loaded tune from fuel moto.

Could it it be the tune or cold weather causing the white smoke out the exhaust? It was 43 degrees and it hasn’t been warm here in Nevada. I’ll see if I can post the video

Could be completely normal below 50deg. You gave no information on the bike but it could also be burning coolant. How do the plugs look?

Both plugs were slight shine black, didn’t smell like oil, but didn’t smell like fuel either. I suspected a wrong tune too.

No coolant, 14 Dyna 103. Forgot to mention that one

Black shiney plugs, and white smoke are both symptoms of oil.
Synthetic oil on the rebuild?

I Had a local shop install all parts, but I use full synthetic. Used to use amsoil then I switched over to Mobil 1 v twin.

That could be the cause. New/overhauled engines should be ran with conventional oil for rings to seat and wear in properly.

We alert our customers to use conventional petroleum oil for the first 1000 miles, as we do the same in our own bikes, and the shop mule bike also.
