Harley big bore 103 was checking ring gap and one of the top compression rings is reading .023 the service manual calls for .022 is .001 out of spec enough to worry about or just run it. The other top ring is set at .019
turning in acceptable numbers? if yes, run it.
if it bothers you, you may get away with just a new set, just measure everything. what i do is buy a set over and custom cut for the lowest allowable running clearance. make sure all your parts are designed to play nice with each other.
Thanks for the replies, I got them on the pistons now so Im gonna go with it probably a lot from the factory like that anyway. I know what I know and dont mind asking when I dont know.
