Default 21 fxlrs possessed by demons

Long story shirt’ish, my motor blew and Harley provided a new one along with all parts associated with the destruction of the motor. New motor was installed along with a SE power cam. 500 miles on the bike and she rips, feels and rides great.
Then…… the last 2 rides she was starting odd. She’s go to fire then just pause for a moment. Then wake up and complete the start. But each time it did this I’d get a check engine light, 2 or 3 error codes, and my clock would reset to flashing 12:00. So I’m thinking ok, there an issue with the battery or something in that department.
I’d clear the codes, reset the clock. Ride on.
Fast forward to last night, bike does the same thing upon start up, but also sets all mileage to KM…. weird. I meet the family out for dinner, come home park. This morning I go out and she does her weird start pause but then, doesn’t come back. All electronics fire up but there’s zero sound or effort from the starter.
I come back out an hour later and try again, she does the pause start thing, but does start, and is running like garbage. Rpm’s are high and erratic. I take her out around the block and she backfiring and popping on decel, nothing crazy, but there was none of that a week ago. The bike feels totally different. Hard to explain, but you know your bike, and when it feels “weird”.
I check codes and there’s 12 PCM codes and 2 BCM codes.

So that’s where I’m at. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Bike: 2021 FXLRS
SE power cam
SE tuned

It is still under warranty, take it back to the place that did the work and have them fix it. Leave the codes in the system so they can see what is happening. Good Luck!

I would have the battery load tested, check the charging system and all connection for the battery. This sounds like an electrical issue.

Agreed it’s definitely electrical in nature. I had an upgraded battery installed when they did the motor work. Odd why after 500 miles since the work it starts getting weird.

Like was already said, it's under warranty, have it fixed for free, but it is either a weak battery or poor connection or ground, cranking it over is bringing the voltage low enough that the computer is unable to properly stay powered up, causing multiple codes and most likely clearing the stored adaptive in the memory causing the high idle and other drive ability issues

Since this is 'round 2', maybe they'll come and get it too.

I'll bet a donut when they did the new motor and cam etc that they didn't enable the acr's. when they loaded the new tune...sure acts like it at startup. It does idle weird but your not really letting it run long enough to get out of fast idle at startup...and you're on the throttle before it even has a chance to get idle down. Not saying there's nothing else wrong because there sure are enough codes. It's possible they missed something else during reassembly too. Either way it needs to go back to them.
Just looked at some of those codes...you're in limited performance mode. Did you happen to roll the throttle with the engine not running but the ignition on and the kill switch in the run position? If so the tps and or tgs can get mixed up on what position the throttle is actually in and the bike will go into limited performance mode. It could also be the plug on throttle body is loose, dirty or has a bad connection. You could check it and make sure it is seated properly. You would then have to clear the codes but since it's under warranty and they've worked on it already I honestly wouldn't touch it and let them handle it. You don't want to be liable for anything at this point.

Good thoughts. The start up in the video was after I'd been messing with the bike for almost an hour. Including taking it out around the neighborhood, so she was well warmed up. Performance seemed normal aside from the erratic idle and all the popping on decel.
You could be onto something regarding the acr's, but would the bike still rip solid for 500 miles before all of this? If I'd just gotten the bike back I'd be way less confused. But we're over 500 miles deep now.
As has been mentioned shes still under warranty so I'll have the dealer sort it out. Just a bummer. I've owned many many motorcycles, I'm not having the best luck with this one. Maybe this is just lifes way of telling me I should get that bagger ive been eyeballing.......
