I have an 04 Softail Standard that seems to be running like its starved for gas when I am running in first gear to second. Tends to cut out. I have photos of one of the plugs that has something caked on the end of the ground electrode. I cleaned it off and the bike runs better....Alot better. So tomorrow Im putting in new plugs. My question is: Is this just a bad plug or do I have something else going on here. The bike has about 8200 miles. I added thunder monster baffles and I didnt remap the bike. I have had them on for 2 years and now this is going on. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.
Thanks
Craig

Thanks Paul,
I changed out my plugs, oil and put in 93 octane gas. I'll run for a while and see how the plugs look before I update to a fuel management system. Why spend the money if I dont have to...
the excessive deposit is from oil entering yer combustion, i'd be you pull off your intake and see the oil running down the intake valve. the 7mm valves, not sure if an 04 has them, has a terrible design for valve spring/ seal and shim configuration imo. time to yank those heads and have them freshened. my dads bike made it a whopping 20k before we had to pull his down. got so bad the exhaust valves no longer sealed to the seats. have a fantastic cylinder head guy if you need his number let me know.
