i have a 1990electra glide and on the windshield there is a chrome molding on exterior w/5 bolts to hold things together. the bolts are made special for that molding. where can i get parts for that online. is there a web site that shows schmatics of bikes and there part #..This was copied and pasted but i am having the exact same issue and that post was back in 08 and never received an answer, heres hoping some one may know now.thanks.
I'm pretty sure I have the same clips you're referring to on my bike. They have a stud in the middle where the acorn nut threads to with a spring arm off to the side. Mine are good but this was a common clip automakers have used way back when to attach chrome mouldings to vehicles. I'm pretty sure they aren't Harley specific so you would find those in an auto parts store. If not there I've found hard to find stuff like that at Lowe's.

What parts do you need? I would assume that you could find anything other than the chrome strip itself at any hardware store.
On my '90, I don't have the strip, but I did replace the acorn nuts and lockwashers with SS stuff from the hardware store, just because the black paint on the originals was getting gnarly.
We used to refer queries like yours to Ronnies parts website, but they don't currently show the 1990 big twins, so that isn't much help to you! According to my parts book, that chrome trim you mention is not shown, so as 0maha and Tom suggest is probably an accessory. There appear to be five screws holding the windshield, plus another at each end. 0maha's suggestion to replace with stainless is a good one!
Suburban Motors Harley has an online parts lookup with schematics that covers models from 1941 to present. A quick check, as others note, suggests the chrome strip was not OEM, but some bolts are shown, with numbers. Have a look.
