Default input please

I have been running syn 3 in my 1985 flhtc for about 1500 miles. The man I bought it from used lucas syn 20w50. I am thinking about going back to dyno oil but have heard alot of mixed feelings about the switch back. I am open for all comments. Thanks yall! Pros and cons?

FWIW, I've run the "ordinary" H-D 360 oil the entire time I've had my bike. I have 100,000 miles on my motor using it, and it runs like a champ. Good compression, minimal oil consumption and cool running. What else do you need?

I like motor oil in my motor. Lately it's been the Valvoline 20w50 V-twin, motor hasn't blown up yet, so it must be working.

To answer your question, there is nothing wrong with going back to dino.

I've been using Castrol GTX 20-50 for 15 years. Never any trouble.

Get something with a high zinc content.

I went from syn to dino too and I like the dino better as the motor is quieter and cooler with the dino.

My friend's shop recommended Pennzoil 20w-50 as it doesn't stain up the motor.
