So use a propane? Will do. Isn't butane the same temp as propane?

What is the difference between the cam oil seal with metal outside diameter vs rubber outside? I bought a James gasket and its rubber outside. It shares the same harley OEM part number 831562-51. I bought the double lip. Assume it's better but when I saw the rubber OD I second guessed it.

It's rubber coated steel, it's fine. Used them else where.

Got the gaskets off. The soak in has softened them enough to make them come off with a lot of effort. I think it came out shitty. Lots of small scratches. Hope is seals.

They'll be fine mate. Just use Cometic or James gaskets.

Got the cam in, nose cone and lifters installed. All I had time for. Good to finally have made some progress.

Those gaskets can be a nightmare as you now know.
I don't see anything that would be a problem either.

Al I need it spare time and some warm weather. I was reading about the trock lapping plates today. Would be nice if I had one but can't even buy them anymore.
