RC cola..... my bad, sorry . I meant CR's Compression Release's. LOL

Don't need CR's. My 10.1 starts easy. Keep battery Tender charger on the batt especially in winter. Check out the other things mentioned.

He is running 10.5 and your bike is abnormal!!!!!!
It just ain't right for a Harley to start that easy!!!!

FWIW S&S motors are about 9.7 and they come stock with CR's.

those ultima starters are not built to last. the average life is around 2 years and much less if your working it to hard. I have 10.97:1 and the only time I really need to use the compression releases is really hot starts. but I do use them all the time it saves wear and tear on the starter.

I've definitely made that starter work. So I guess I've gotten my money out of a lowere end starter. Any recommendations on one that would last. Looking at CR's too.

im using an all ***** 1.7Kw only one season on it so time will tell.

Bottom line the CR's will save your battery and starter. My battery is the original and that's in part due to the CR's.

1.4kw Allballs starts my 124" S&S @ 10.8:1 with relative ease, although that's with CR's
