Default FLHT inner primary.

I am in the process of building a Frankenbagger and I have an 89-93 bagger transmission case and a 96 engine. I am looking for an inner primary that will bolt up to the trans and motor. I know up to 93 uses a certain outer primary and 94 and newer uses a certain outer primary as well. I found a inner primary off of a 94 and would like to use that to use a newer outer primary but I wanna make sure it will bolt up. Does anyone have any experience with the bolt patterns on these primaries and will an inner primary off a 94 bagger fit the older style case?

Thank in advance.

Yes, it will work

The difference is the bottom bolt on the trans to the primary. The old style will have the bolt go through the trans casting to the primary. Late model will come through the primary and thread into the trans case.

You will just run a bolt in from the primary and a nut behind the trans case. I have the older primary with a later trans. I had to do the opposite and drill the threaded portion through my primary and send the bolt into the trans case
