Im sorry I see your picture I too have police RK. If your detent adjustment checks the next time your able to ride before just taking off from a stop try letting clutch out slowly and see if you can duplicate the problem. you are looking for it to make a slight clunk when letting clutch out in low gear. You may have to do this several times because like you said it wont do it everytime. Goodnight I will check with you tomorow

West coast time zone , just got off work

I ride the bike every day so experimenting today it would not do it however dragging the clutch and low throttle there is a definite click at about 3 ft into take off and its there every time but today it did not slip and clunk ?????

Since i can hear/feel that clink when I take off I removed the shift rod so I don't get any false readings and i put the bike in 3rd gear and moved the shift arm forward and back , it is NOT centered , looking at the shift arm it moves forward more then back before resistance is felt . it looks possible to get at the adjusting screw but damn its tight . any idea which way to turn the adjuster , In or out ???? book says 1/4 turn each adjustment then test How finicky is this adjustment does a 1/4 turn move it a lot

LOL lots of questions but feel this may be the right track
