Naw, the FLHS is at the shop for the winter. It's time for new lifers and the damn nut loosened up on the transmission output shaft again. I'm too busy with other 'stuff' to get to it, so my trusty indy get's the nod again. Besides, he'll give me free storage if I drop some coin on repairs.

I'm supposed to go get this beauty in a week or less:

And the same dealer is supposed to deliver my new Xcursion pontoon to my lake house this month.

I just hope the damn snow melts before then, as the Checkmate is going on the yard, and the pontoon is going on blocks in the driveway.

Oh, and then this long term project is supposed to come home soon:

Lived outside Barstow, CA for a year....Wind blew 45 mph every day and was 120* a lot in the summer, nobody moved much during the day. Was ready to come home at the time now I just might take the heat over the midwest weather.

True enough ... I'd rather be cold than hot ... Can't take heat but I'm gettin' too old for shovelin' the snow :>(

The Carolinas are a good compromise. We have an average high of 51 degrees in January and somewhere in the upper 80's during the summer.

We get a snowstorm or two every year or two, it paralyzes the city for a day or two and an ice storm will take out the electricity.

The summers are hotter than ideal, with periods in the 90's for a week or two (that's what Michigan and Ohio are for,) but in the overall, I ride about 11 months out of the year without too much problem.
