Can I change out the tranny (case and all) without removing the oil bag?
'95 Heritage.
Probably...if you have lots of tools, are a contortionist, and want to make your life a living hell. Removing the oil "bag" will save you lots of time and aggravation.
Yea Like Tom said. It's not worth the short cut, more aggravating not to remove it. I tried it once that way and with all the agravation i ended up taking it out anyways....

I figured it would have to come out but I thought I would ask the experts to be sure.
