Where the threaded portion screws into is really big around and it hit my inner tubes.
Just a heads up. Otherwise great pushrods.
How did you shorten your pushrod tubes???

I just took some off the bottom of the inner telescoping part with a die grinder and cleaned it up with a reamer.
They were still plenty long enough to function correctly.
I can't remember if it was a half inch or a full inch that I removed....

So you took it off the bottom of the top part of the pushrod tube.
Where did you have the adjustment part of the pushrod (bottom or top)?

Correct.
And I had the adjusters on the bottom. I'm not sure if they would work the other way around or not?

I had S&S quickies in my '95 Heritage and didn't have a problem.
Is it possible you had some aftermarket pushrod tubs??
With as low as the adjuster sits I was trying to figure out how you were hitting.

The best I can tell they were stock tubes but I'm not the original owner so I can't be sure.
I think I found a forum post of someone else having the same issue but that was some time ago that I put them in.....
Maybe it was just an early evo thing???

Same part numbers for an '86 and a '95 Heritage.
I wonder what caused you to have issues where I didn't.
Maybe S&S redesigned their pushrods between when you bought yours and I bought mine.IDK

Yeah I can't explain it either....
