Default adjustable pushrods

Question for everyone

as some of you may have read im doing cams and a hydro plate this weekend and now my only concern is the adjustable pushrods.

how do i know they are adjusted correctly? the instructions say to go 2 1/2 complete turns.

Is that for stock cams?

Im putting in a 203 cam in a 2006 88 inch softail motor. does that change how many turns or flats i need to adjust it?

Ive searched on here and watched a few videos just want to make sure i have all the input i can before i start the job.

Doesnt matter what cams. 0 lash then make your adjustment, wait for bleed down, do front set.

why didn't you just go in from the top and use the stock puchrods? You could of upgraded your breather, to cut down on the oil in the air filter at the same time. with 203 cams, your stock pushrods would of been fine. Also, did you replace the the inner cam bearings while you are doing it?

yes inner cam bearings will be replaced and upgraded to the b148's. i didnt want to go into the top end. thats more gaskets and more stuff i would have had to buy. i wouldnt even of put in the 203 cam if it hadnt already come with the hydro plate i bought. i really only just wanted to change the cam tensioners but found a great deal on the hydroplate with the 203 cam. the guy i got it off of when with gear drive cams when he went with bigger pistons and cylinders. it only had like 1000 miles on the came and plate so i got it.

Good deal, but the gaskets are much cheaper than the adjustable pushrods.

I did my a couple a couple days ago. Just watched the you tube video while I did the install. Everything went smooth and the bike runs like a champ. Not a big deal at all, and I saved 4-500 bucks.
