It's been a long time since I pressed off a cam gear for a Evo. Did they ever have a key? I just pressed off a gear from a 1992 stock cam, the cam has a keyway slot, no key, and the gear has no slot. How about Andrews Evo cams, do they have a key or not?

 

No no keway...did you scribe the gear at the slot to aid replacement on the new cam? If you did just line the scribe marks up with the slot and press the gear on in this position.
