Default Gas cap thread?

Well I bought a set of flush mount gas caps, love the look....hate the gas all over my bik. Looking at getting the bikers choice 0120156, but can't find a picture of how flush they mount. So does anyone have pictures of what they used and if it works good. Back to the big ugly ones for now lol.

Quite obviously they should not leak, that is a hazard on so many fronts. Is there no gasket on them? What brand are they?

Not that this will help you but I bought a brand new Harley OEM gas cap, nothing fancy just the one from the parts diagram and new seal. It doesn't screw down tight enough and dumped gas all over my tank and leg while driving. Put the old one back on and no leaks.

Heck, I though this was going to be another 'where do you put your gas cap' thread....

No help from me, mine's under the lid:

Sorry to hijack but what did you use for a push button on your release?

In regards to the leaking cap check to ensure your not using a vented in a nonvented cap area.

It comes right out the middle while you drive. They pop up in the center to remove them. Clearly no seal on the inside, just the outer gasket. Started with k I can't recall the brand already tossed the box.

I'd check your vent line. No help on flush mount caps just leaking caps.

If it was Kuryakyn then that is your problem right there.
I haven't had one thing of theirs that worked right or was reliable.

I had one of those pop ups on a fatboy, I had to take the cap (the pop up) and sand the bottom down some on a flat piece of sandpaper. That took care of it. It was a hair to long.
