Default EVO Wrecked

This was my hello to the EVO forum:

https://www.hdforums.com/forum/evo-c...l#post12686009

This one will be my farewell as my son took her out for a spin and was hit by a car in a left turn. The typical "I never saw him". He is okay, with some road rash, but was able to walk away.

The adjuster was here on Friday. We got the word today that they totaled the bike at a value of $7200. Bittersweet as I picked up the bike for 5k about 3 years ago.

I still have my two other bikes, but they are both twinkies. So this is it for me here.

Stay safe my friends.

Glad he's OK! The bike can be replaced of course.

Well, that sucks. Glad your son is ok, but it's a shame to lose an Evo.

Sorry to read about the crash. Glad your son is OK. Lucky it didn't happen down here. Insurance would have probably only given you about $3,500 for the bike. You know, you don't have to abandon the Evo Classic board. You still have several years worth of knowledge that might be helpful to some of the newer Evo guys.

Other than that, I hope all has been well with you.

Damn glad he's still alive and kicking!!
Couldn't you buy it back and rebuild it? Or is the motor/tranny toast?
Come on back by and visit anyway.

I was afraid to open this thread for fear of a much worse outcome.

Glad things aren't worse than what they are.

Same here! Best wished to your son for a speedy recovery. And never say 'never' on the Evo front - there's a fresh one not so far away....
