Default handlebar controls

i have a 92 ultra classic that im going to be putting an aftermarket head unit in and dont plan on spending $800 to maintain the handlebar control, so i plan on eliminating them.

my question is which model would have the same control minus the radio controls? heritage ?

this is 1st harley so green to models and their accessories

If you're doing away with the radio controls, then I think the handlebar controls were common to all other models at that time. Drag Specialties has replacements for the standard switches and housings.

I recently completed a complete stereo upgrade on my old 1996 electraglide using biketronics retro radio kit. I bought a sony head unit for 80 bucks on amazon the retro radio kit for 200. {makes your hand controls work} and 150 on 2 kappa 6.5 speakers 100 bucks for punch 300 watt amp. that bike rocked!

the 96 retro kits are pretty plug and play. 92 isn't, not that im afraid to hard wire but the radio control are pretty shot, have to push on them downward and in the direction they function pretty hard to get the half *** work half the time. tried to fix them when i replaced the bars and had the switches apart for the internal wiring

FLHS controls are what you are looking for, but Unca G is probably correct.

'96 switches are completely different design from the earlier switches. 1982-1995 were the same units. I don't know about the radio switches, as I never had a bike with a radio.
