Default Evo Pusrods.

1995 Road King. Well. I got the pushrod tube cover mystery solved. (See Touring section). Now. I got to the pushrods. It has JIMS lifter blocks. The pushrods are designed as to where they cannot be removed without removing the rocker boxes.. The guy I got it from knew nothing about the bike. So. This is a fun learning experience on my part. Looking at the pushrods and doing a little on line research. They are Andrews pushrods. When ever I have to do some top end work where the rocker boxes need to be removed. I am going to go back with some pushrods where the rocker boxes do not have to be removed.

I put Harley Screaming Eagle adjustable push rods in my 99 FXSTC when I changed out the cam bearing. Over 30,000 miles on them with no problems. They sure save a lot of work. I hate to remove stuff that is not leaking if I do not have to.

I did the same thing on my 2007 Ultra. Changed cams to SE 255. New bearings. S&S lifters. S&S adjustable pushrods. Harley's non adjustable pushrods are nothing but a money saver on their part. A lot quieter better running engine after upgrades.

Right there in the FSM it says cut them out if needed rather then removing the boxes.
Old news.
Now it comes dwn to choices so you don't buy parts and parts and more of the same parts.
Choose wisely based on your end goal.
Bigger cams, springs etc demand more strength.

Not sure you'd get much use out them after they cut them out so they can install the ez-install pushrods.

The regular S&S adjustables don't adjust down enough to be abled to remove them without rocker box removal. You will need the S&S quickie adjustables and as said then you can cut the old ones out..

One could use them with some all thread to make a pushrod length checker tool. Useful if you want to figure out the length of a non-adjustable pushrod with a specific cam choice.
