Found an 89 FLHTC close to me that runs and drives.....barely, but the price might be right. It's missing the fairing and I'm thinking that I might be able to retrofit it with a 97-08 roadglide style fairing. Is the spacing on the frame for the mounting bracket the same as the earlier frame?
Starting to look REAL hard for another EVO again. Champagne taste with Beer money....lol, so what ever I get will need some love.
I vaguely recall there has been a thread or two on using a later style of fairing, not least because the original ones are in thin supply and darned expensive. I'm sure a fellow member commented on the old ones not so long ago. I'm pretty sure one can be made to fit, with the skills, tools and determination! 0maha doesn't seem to be very busy of late....

May have been me...maybe not... But when I had an FLHT I checked casually...and I would Not have a Problem with an Old mount Batwing... Minimal Modification... [barely any if I remember]
Considering I put a Nacelle from a 2002 Road King Police on my 1994 Electra Glide when I gave up on fixing the fairing, I'm pretty sure any new model fairing will work. Just be mindful of the speedo, they're not cable driven after I think 1998 or so.

Yeah, bring the bike on over, along with your new fairing, a roll of duct tape, and some bailing wire. We'll have you on the road in no time!!!
Hahaha....I got my own duck tape......in colors! The guy hasn't got back to yet with the "running/riding" video and it's a long drive to check it out. I'd rather show up with a trailer and cash the first time I see it. I get MUCH better deals that way.
