Actually seems like a really smart conclusion. Though an easy one if you spot visually, and know that would cause an idle issue
Reminds me of a time zi had my bike towed to a shop because it wouldn’t start.
The service writer immidietly spotted the fuel line check valve was disconected partially.
Enough for his keen eye. But not obvious enough for mine.
I was leaving the local bike shop on my ironhead and the little so and so wouldn't keep running. I didn't have a clue what was wrong with it so I asked the owner. He twisted off the gas cap, looked inside, and said, "you're out of gas". Pretty embarrassing but only cost me my pride. ha ha ha.
I spent about 3 days trying to adjust my throttle and idle cables and they just wouldn't work right.
Took them off and put them on so many times I lost count...
Then I found that the throttle lock was partially on!!!!!!
Loosened that and a few minutes later I was done with the bike!!!!!
