Default Brake upgrade.

I'm l;ooking to uprade the front brake on my 1993 FLSTC Heritage Classic. I know the calipers are the same same from '89 to '99 but are there any later calipers that will fit the fork leg on my '93?

No later HD calipers will bolt up to your sliders. There are aftermarket calipers that will, member 0maha did so but I don't remember the brand.
Other options include using an adapter for 1999-2007 calipers, or using 2008 and up sliders for the Brembo calipers.
Decisions, decisions.

Check out the Wilwood gp310. I just upgraded to these and it is a big difference. I also upgraded to a stainless steel line.

I will provide advice here that I hope you adhere to

They make conversion brackets to bolt on 00-up calipers on to your bike. I have used these. They work but I decided to use these because I had a Caliper in that style laying around. If you don't already have the Caliper laying around...,,

Buy the wilwoods. It will be cheaper, better, and easier in the long run.

this is 100%. I bought the later model calipers and brackets used ( a forum member was kind enough to sell them to me) . Once I saw how it all fit together, I just bought the Wilwoods. I have given the brackets away to another forum member, if you want the calipers, they are yours for the cost of shipping to you.

Thanks for all the input. Yeah, I had someone tell me that the 2000 year front caliper was better and was a direct bolt on but I figured I'd check around before trying a swap. I guess I'll have to go aftermarket.

If you're going to do fork seals I thought the newer lowers would fit an allow the use of the newer 4 pot calipers. I had one laying around so I just got the adapter plate to "save money". I had to drop like $20 on a rebuild kit since it was dot 4 an buy an extended brake line so I was in to it for about 80-90 bucks an it looked kinda bulky. The only advantage I could think of was the easy to find replacement pads. If I didn't have the caliper already I wouldn't have done it.
