Paint code 1986 XLH

im looking for a paint code for a 1986 XLH 883. Original owner said it was a bright red. Would appreciate any help.

If you don't have a hint of original paint, behind a cover, underside of fuel tank then the only way to get it is taking your vin number to a Harley dealer hoping the parts department will look it up for you. It's also possible the data base won't have the older bike's build sheet stored but pretty much the only avenue unless you can find a clue on the bike.

Search for 98603 GP signal red. Almost bought one...Not 100% sure that is the correct one, but it was an orange/red color. It was a solid color, non-metallic. Other models used that color so you should be able to eye ball it by searching for signal red 98603 GP.
