Default Thread size primary

Anyone know the thread size on the primary drain plug, I think it’s 3/8 28, don’t ask why

It's definitely not 3/8-24 so it's not a SAE thread.
It must be a NPT thread.

Should be pipe thread ad 3/8 sounds right.
If it means a trip to hardware store get a couple different sizes.
The one or 2 I had to replace cause I LOST the dang things were cheap enough.

LOL 3/8 would be a little big
as mentioned latter 1/8

Well, it sort of depends on the year and model...

If it is the `98 in your sig, the plug would be a 1/8 pipe plug.

LOL, I actually started this thread while on the road looking for stuff, 1997, Fxdl, I’m pretty sure all Evo primary drain plugs are the same though.

Evo primary drain plugs are all the same, but you didn`t tell us what you are working on...

1/8 pipe plug.

Yup, I just bought two new ones for Primary and Tranny for fluid change. The old ones were original to my 96 FLSTN. Most dealers still carry them.
