Oil pressure idiot light switch and pressure sender for the gauge. There's a recent thread on them. They are NLA.

Oil sender. Part # 74406-87 or 74406-86 (same part) Two posts - one for the gauge, the other for the light.

And, if you hook one up backward, the instant you turn the switch on, gauge side of the sender is toast.

No apology for suggesting you move on to other projects! An oil pressure gauge is a distraction best avoided, simply because our bikes don't produce much pressure and you risk becoming neurotic about how low it can go! You really don't need one of those!

My favourite indy would just blanket ban them, he reckons they are so much bother - thanks to the worry and effort so many owners waste, bending his ears.

Good choice - but if you want other suggestions on what to spend your spare cash on we'll always be here!

I just checked with my parts girl, the 74406-87 sender is still available from MoCo. It's the oil temperature sender that's obsolete.

Some of us prefer to keep our stuff factory correct and functional. As to whether we use a particular feature or simply have them present for aesthetic purposes, is each one's individual choice.

Thanks for the info. What's MoCo? Who should I talk with? Or online I'm guessing.

Motor Company...as in Harley Davidson Motor Company.

Any authorized dealer should be able to help you.

(Although some will be more helpful than others...)
