Default Volt Meter

I'm looking to install a volt meter on my '93 FLSTC. Have any of you installed one on a bike that didn't come with one? If so, what kind did you use, how did you mount it and where did you wire it in? Pics would be nice also.

I never mounted a volt meter to my bike but I did change my speedometer to a Dakota Digital that has that function... I guess mounting would be preference but wiring would be to the fused side of the accessory fuse. This way if something does happen it won't take out the ignition or lights..

I believe voltmeters provide very handy information when trouble rears its head.
Good idea, in my opinion.
As long as it's waterproof, of course.
